Women make up just over half of the global population, and yet in the UK they make up just 40% of the entire financial services workforce. (Statista 2022). Whilst 40% is still a substantial portion of the workforce, it still highlights the gender imbalance present in the industry, an imbalance which becomes more noticeable the higher up the corporate structure you go with C-Suites being disproportionately dominated by men.

Coinciding with International Women’s Day 2023, this half-day conference highlights the issues still facing women in finance today. By asking why such an imbalance still remains in the workplace, we will give marketers and executives alike the answers they need to level the playing field between men and women, and will highlight the work of those companies that have already taken great strides in giving the women in their businesses equal opportunities to reach the top.
